The Faial Old Bridge was once the longest bridge of the island of Madeira. Unfortunately, due to the time of 1984 today, the only remaining structure with three of its seven arches.

This bridge is also known as the “bridge of the seven mouths,” for its seven arches, was built to join the two sides of the village, separated by the Ribeira do Faial, in the early twentieth century and was inaugurated in 1904.

The rest of the Old Bridge structure stands as a landmark of the town and county.
