Prainha Beach is located in Caniçal parish near the tip of St. Lawrence. This is a black sand beach of volcanic origin. This beach are the da Piedade dunes, which are calcareous fossils of geomorphological interest. In this area the landscape is arid, painted yellow, brown and orange. This beach area has a restaurant, changing rooms, parasols and deck chairs and parking.
