The São Jorge Ruins are located next to the São Jorge beach. These ruins belong to the old mills of sugarcane that there were built in the early settlement of the island. In pebble, São Jorge found the Primitive core of São Jorge parish. Of the old buildings, the stone entrance porch is the most significant. All this core is classified as Municipal Interest Monument since 2003.
