The São Salvador Church (San Salvador) is located in Santa Cruz. This church was built in the seventeenth century and presents Gothic-Manueline style. It is one of the churches located outside Funchal, higher interest architectural This church has three naves, a Gothic portal and rose window and a bell tower Manueline crowned with the Cross of Christ. Inside you can see altarpieces of baroque and neoclassical gilt and traces of paintings on the pillars. The Church of San Salvador is the second largest church in Madeira.
